Hazlewood Castle
" I wish to thank you on behalf of my mother & father, the excellent meal that they had last Sunday at Hazlewood Castle, as they are part of the VCC veteran Car Club of Great Britain and Hazlewood Castle was the chosen venue for the committee meeting and dinner.
They said that the service and all members of staff were extremely hospitable and again the meal was fab".

Thank you so much for everything. Yesterday's AGM and Lunch went extremely well and your Hotel was the perfect setting. We were made to feel very welcome and the Staff were excellent.
All our members said how great the food service and venue were and I do feel we will certainly want to arrange another event with yourselves very soon.

A belated huge thanks to you all for all that you did to make our day so wonderful.
So we didn't get a classical guitarist or great weather after the heatwave the week before - however we had a most fantastic day and it's thanks to you all.
Whilst in New Zealand we visited Marlborough and the vineyards - sadly we weren't able to get inside the Vavasour tasting room as the
cellar was shut due to a take over by an American company - however we have tasted one or two bottles of Sauvignon from the field
and can highly recommend it!!!!!
Again sincere thanks and we look forward to seeing you again - perhaps a small dinner for our first anniversary??

"I stayed at The Angel and Royal for 2 nights, New Years eve and the followiing night. I was very impressed with all aspects of my stay, the service was excellent especially the restaurant staff who worked extremely hard until the early hours and were there again at breakfast as friendly as ever. the room was great and everyone was very helpful". Can I thank you and your staff for a very pleasant stay in the Grants Hotel on the weekend of 24th-26th September. Our brass band were very impressed and also commented on how helpful the staff were. Also can I also send the bands thanks for allowing breakfast to be served early on the Saturday morning so that our band could prepare for competition this was very thoughtful. And last but not least for allowing us to practice in the Hotel before we went away to competition I hope we did not waken too many people in the hotel. It is just a pity that we did not bring any cups back from the competition but maybe next time. If we are coming back in the future you will be the first hotel that we will ask for. I wish your Hotel all the success for the future and hope to see you again.

Small note to say a huge ‘Thank You’ for Saturday night.
Your arrangements were tip-top, allowing everything to go smoothly.
The meal was excellent. Everyone I spoke to commented on the quality and quantity.
The waiter and waitresses did a superb job. They were quick and attentive and smiled – a very important ingredient!
I cannot speak too highly of your performance as a venue. My format of having a comedian with everyone at their own table worked well I thought.
My hope is that you, as a hotel, had a good night.

Dower House
"Dear Mr Wicks,
As the Head of the Group of Ashdale Hotels we had to write to you directly to tell you what a fabulous Boxing Day we had at the Dower House Hotel. As a rather large family of 24, we have always tried to get together on Boxing Day, this year was our turn! We came up with the bright idea of having lunch at a hotel equi-distant from us all - the Dower House seemed the perfect venue. I have to be honest and we did encounter some resistance but we felt at the expense of our sanity and home, this was the way forward.
We had just a fantastic time. We were allocated our own dining room (which given the number of children) was perfect together with two members of staff who looked after all our food and drinks etc. They even had to put up with the manic time of opening presents! The food was of such high quality, the service was excellent and to just put the icing on the cake for the children the Manager allowed them to swim. The majority of the party of the party had left by 3.30pm ish and our little family then retired to the bar for coffee while we waited for our taxi. The atmosphere was so relaxed and so welcoming in all the hotel, so much so we are contemplating going to stay at the Dower House next year for Christmas.
We will definitely be booking for next year and we will recommend the Dower House to all who will listen.

"Dear Ken,
A big 'Thank you' to you and your staff for another very successful Christmas lunch for us, Musicians Incorporated at the Dower House.
The set up of the room was excellent, giving the right ambiance of festivity. Everyone enjoyed and commented on the food, particularly the beef, which came in for a great deal of praise. (We were a bit surprised when Santa made an unexpected appearance, but that added to the fun !) I'm afraid that we are a rather abstemious bunch. I'm not sure if that is accounted for by the average age of the group or the fact that many have to drive quite a way home and are responsible citizens.
I would like to wish you a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year, and hope to be seeing you again for a similar celebration next year.

"Would like to say a huge thank you to you and your team at the hotel and spa. We all had a fantastic weekend!! All the staff were really friendly and happy to help and please. All guests really enjoyed the spa and the other facilities. Only slight grumble regarding the make up treatment from one guest, was rectified quickly and professionally, and the lady was very happy with the end treatment.
I will be definitely be recommending the hotel and spa to friends and family... for either a special occasion or spa visit!
